Plaums Pit Angling Club – Matches
1 a. All trophies shall be competed for Annually, but shall remain the property of Plaums Pit Angling Club.
b. All members must produce their permit prior to the draw on any club matches, with the exception of open matches.
2 All competitions shall be of five hours in duration with the exception of evening and junior matches.
3 The person in charge shall decide the start time.
4 All competitors must provide their Club card if asked, to prove membership.
5 All competitors must fish the peg they draw and no re-draw shall be allowed unless and unnatural obstruction has occurred.
6 Any pike caught during the match will not be eligible for weighing.
7 Prior to the start of any competition, no competitor must in anyway ground bait or feed a swim. Each competitor may mix ground bait, place their keepnet in the water, set their float and find depth.
8 A competitor must not cause annoyance to, or interfere with, any other competitor.
9 a. Competitors must retain all fish in a keep net that complies with Environment Agency rules.
b. All fish must be kept alive. If fish are suffering distress, the scales man may weigh the fish in during the competition and the fish then returned to the water.
c. All competitors may use only one rod at a time and may only have one hook attached. d No baited rod is to be left unattended.
e. Any bait, subject to Cub rules, may be used except for no live or dead fish, spinning baits or any artificial lures.
10. Each competitor shall be responsible for ensuring that his peg is clear of litter. If any competitor is caught with litter in their swim, they will be disqualified and banned from fishing any further competitions held on the water and reported to the clubs committee.
11 All trophies must be returned to the Match Secretery by 31st March each year.
12. a. All keepnets must be in the water before the match starts.
b. Any decisions on any point not covered by these rules shall be made by the Match Secretary or person in charge and their decision shall be final.
13. a The Club League shall be fished over an aggregate of all official Club members only competitions.
b. League points will be awarded as follows:
1st = 20 points, 2nd = 18 points, 3rd = 16 points, 4th = 14 points, 5th = 12 points, 6th = 10 points, 7th = 8 points.
Any competitor who weighs-in will be awarded 6 points and any competitor failing to catch but competing the duration of the match will be awarded 2 points.
c. All club competitions shall cost £8.00 pools fees and £2.00 peg fee. The payout will be as follows:
(a) Payout will be in two sections and top three. Sections are by default meaning if in the main money you do not win the section.
14. The Club League shall be fished over an aggregate of all official members only competitions,
15. All peg fees collected for the club matches fished on the clubs waters will go to club funds.
16. Top 10 Match weights will be counted. Lowest 2 Match weights will not be counted.
